On January 29, 2018, the SEC released in its website the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of
Republic Act 2629, otherwise known as the Investment Company Act (ICA). The IRR was published in
The Manila Times and Manila Bulletin on January 11, 2018.

The SEC is granted the authority to regulate the Investment Companies, and to require them to register
with SEC and to comply with certain standards including, among others, the regular public disclosure of
financial condition, investment policies and objectives, and their fund portfolios as well as their pricing
and fees.

The SEC is also authorized to regulate the Fund Managers and other parties involved in the operation of
investment companies.
